Robert Schnitzer, acting for MovieCorp Media, has acquired the exclusive film rights for Sweet By and By by Ramona Bridges of Seminary.
The story is a Southern gothic romantic thriller following one woman’s journey from victimhood to victory. It is set in rural Mississippi in the decades following the Civil War.
Screenwriter Sarah Cutler-Weiss is adapting it for a six-part series. Schnitzer intends to do the filming in Mississippi, if at all possible.
